Wild Wellness Within
After 13 years in chiropractic practice, Dr. Jessica Lee discovered Spinal Energetics™, a gentle modality that combines nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and energy work. Today, through Wild Wellness Within in Winston-Salem, she helps clients reconnect with their body's innate capacity for healing.
One of only a handful of Spinal Energetics practitioners in North Carolina—and the only one in the Piedmont Triad—Jessica creates supportive spaces where people can unwind stored tension, regulate their nervous systems, and discover greater ease and resilience.
In this month's interview, Jessica shares what drew her to this emerging modality, how sessions work, and why she believes the body already holds much of the wisdom needed for healing.

Father's Day
Celebrating the Fathers Who Show Up
This Father's Day, we pause to recognize the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who help shape the lives of children through their presence, guidance, and care.
Research consistently shows that children benefit when caring adults are actively involved in their lives. Fathers who listen, encourage, teach, and support help children develop confidence, resilience, self-worth, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Whether through everyday conversations, shared experiences, words of encouragement, or simply being present, these relationships leave a lasting impact that often extends far beyond childhood.
To all who nurture, guide, and help young people grow into confident and capable adults—thank you.

Why Stories Like 'Heated Rivalry' Matter
More than a hockey romance, Heated Rivalry offers a rare portrayal of queer relationships grounded in joy, vulnerability, growth, and emotional honesty.
In this thoughtful reflection, therapist Conny Wulff explores why positive LGBTQ representation matters and how stories that challenge rigid ideas about masculinity can help people imagine healthier, more authentic futures.
Representation that includes joy, competence, and emotional safety does more than entertain—it expands what people believe is possible for themselves and others. Learn more about Conny's work supporting individuals, families, and the LGBTQ+ community through her GHC practitioner profile.

This Month's Invitation
Extend a Genuine Invitation
Think of someone who may be feeling isolated, overlooked, or new to a community. Invite them to join you for coffee, a walk, a market visit, a community event, or simply a conversation.
Belonging often begins with a single invitation. You don't need to solve anyone's problems. Sometimes the most meaningful act of care is letting someone know they have a place beside you.
Small acts of welcome can create lasting connections.

The Cost of "No Homo"
What happens when boys and men are taught that vulnerability is weakness? In this companion piece to Why Stories Like Heated Rivalry Matter, therapist Conny Wulff explores the hidden costs of rigid expectations around masculinity.
Emotional isolation doesn't just affect individuals. It can ripple outward into friendships, relationships, parenting, workplaces, and communities. The pressure to appear tough can make genuine connection feel risky, even when people deeply care about one another.
Through a thoughtful and compassionate lens, Conny invites us to consider how healthier expressions of masculinity can create more room for honesty, belonging, and authentic human connection.

Voting Rights Under Attack: Why Access to the Ballot Matters
Inclusivity is one of the cornerstones of the Greensboro Holistic Collective. Creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and able to participate fully in community life is part of our mission.
Greensboro has a long history of civil rights advocacy, from the Greensboro Sit-Ins to ongoing efforts that expand opportunity and representation. As conversations about voting rights continue across North Carolina and the nation, understanding these changes helps us remain informed, engaged, and connected to the democratic process.
This article explores recent legal decisions, concerns about voter access, and why many organizations view these developments as significant to the future of fair representation and civic participation.

The Community Multiplier
Every time you refer a client, share an event, recommend a practitioner, or celebrate a colleague's success, you're helping create a stronger wellness ecosystem for everyone.
This month, take five minutes to support a fellow GHC member. Follow their page, leave a thoughtful comment, share a post, write a review, or make a warm introduction.
Small actions can have a lasting impact. When we lift each other up, we expand visibility, strengthen relationships, and help create a thriving wellness community throughout the Triad.
Community isn't built by one person. It's built one connection at a time.
