In Browns Summit, Fox & Honey Homestead is creating a place where herbal wisdom, local food, family, and community come together.
Founded by Taylor and Dakota Strickland, the homestead grew from a shared passion for herbal medicine, self-sufficiency, and locally produced food. Taylor is a clinical herbalist, Reiki Master Teacher, gardener, homeschooling mother of four boys, and animal caregiver. Her work reflects an integrated view of wellness that recognizes the relationships among physical health, emotional patterns, inner life, community, and the natural world.
Through Fox & Honey, Taylor offers holistic wellness support that may incorporate herbal medicine, Reiki, past-life regression, individualized herbs, and other supportive practices. Her approach helps people explore patterns, set realistic goals, and consider care for the mind, body, and spirit.
From the homestead
The homestead is also a source of seasonal, small-batch goods made with care. Depending on availability, Fox & Honey’s offerings have included free-range eggs, flower essences, herbal extracts, tea blends, body oils, bath teas, soaps, salves, tallow balms, and other farm-based products. Some of the flower essences are made from plants grown on the farm, carrying that connection to the land into the finished offerings.
What makes Fox & Honey especially compelling is that the homestead is an evolving way of life. Taylor and her family continue to grow and learn as they work toward greater self-sufficiency and bring thoughtfully made, farm-based offerings to their community.
For Fox & Honey, wellness begins with relationship: with the body, plants, animals, the land, and the people who share our lives. We’re delighted to introduce Fox & Honey Homestead to the GHC community and look forward to seeing this family-centered homestead grow.
