Autumn is the season for cooling off, slowing down, harvesting the fruits of our summer labors, and gathering in community. As leaves drift from above, remember to look down and “be where your feet are,” grounding yourself in the now-fallow earth.
It’s also the start of the cold and flu season, and overscheduled calendars, which can trigger overwhelm and stress.
As physical, emotional, and spiritual beings, these aspects are in balance when we’re healthy. But a mental illness can throw us out of equilibrium, with wide-ranging ill effects on body and soul.
October is Mental Health Awareness Month. In the following articles, we address common issues with suggestions for help. |

At the heart of the Greensboro Holistic Collective is a shared vision—that through community, we cultivate connection, healing, and opportunities for every person to flourish. |

The Greensboro Holistic Collective was born from a simple vision: to create a community where connection fosters healing and shared experiences strengthen our collective bond, uplifting us all.
To carry that spirit forward, we’re sharing reflections from our founders. In this issue, Dr. Alex Vujnovic offers a hopeful perspective on wellness—reminding us that our bodies are resilient and ready to thrive. Alongside this, Leslie shares a vision for a new way of being in relationship: one rooted in reciprocity and building together, rather than extraction, exploitation, and "me first."
In Leslie's words—read it here. |

Delicious autumn!
My very soul is wedded to it,
And if I were a bird I would fly about the Earth seeking the successive autumns.
